Sealy Posturepedic Mattress and Foundation

At Sealy, we produce the mattress that makes you more comfortable. This includes an assurance that our product will be produced to a higher standard for quality materials and workmanship. Please take a few minutes to read over the warranty guidelines.

*Be aware that it can take up to 15 days for your body to adjust to the feel and support of a new sleep system. Please allow yourself and the product this period of time before considering any alternative.

Sealy Thailand offers a warranty which is only for the benefit of the original purchaser ("the purchaser") of the product, and is non-transferable.

An "original purchaser", for the purposes of this limited warranty, is an individual or entity who purchases the product directly from Sealy Thailand or an authorized retailer of Sealy with the intent to use the product for personal consumer use and not for commercial or industrial use and not with the intent to resell the product.

An "authorized retailer", for purposes of this limited warranty, is an individual or entity authorized by Sealy to sell product directly to original purchasers. An individual or entity that purchases the product from whatever source with the intent to resell the product is an unauthorized reseller ("unauthorized reseller").

To be eligible to make a claim, customer is required to present both warranty document and / or copy of purchase invoice.

This warranty is valid in territory of Thailand only.

Your warranty protects you from the day you purchase your sleep set and continues according to the period mentioned in the warranty registration (except if the product is a display or demonstration model in which case the warranty starts from the date of manufacture). Product ticket is sewn into the border of your mattress and foundation and must not be removed.

Sealy reserves the right to refuse service when the product is found on inspection to be in an unsanitary condition or stained or when product rejection is due to causes other than defective workmanship or materials. Comfort preference is a personal choice and not a manufacturing fault.

The customer may upgrade their product selection, they may do so by paying the difference between price of the original product purchased and the price of upgraded product. Also replacement can be made by trading down but no refund will be provided for the difference of price or compensation with extra premium on purchase. The applicable price in either case will be the current price of the product.

New warranty is provided with a replacement product. The warranty for the replacement product commences from the date of replacement. The replacement will be undertaken by Sealy Thailand.

As per above Sealy Thailand allows one time replacement within 30 days of the purchasing date.

To adjust comfort feeling (firmer / plusher), Sealy Thailand reserves the right to replace material insulation layer with similar standard of original product. This is at the sole discretion of Sealy Thailand.

The original warranty is still applicable for the repaired product. The warranty for the repaired product applies from the date of original purchase.

The "original purchaser" may opt for one product re-specification option within 120 days of the purchasing date. This product modification will be within the same product height and model level at a surcharge of 15% of the mattress purchase price. This modification is limited to change in upholstery and insulation only.

In case the customer elects product re-specification option, no further replacement will be provided for the product that is re-specified.

If identical materials are not available at the time of repair, Sealy Thailand reserves the manufacturer's right to substitute materials of equal quality. Identical fabrics cannot be guaranteed however; the closest available match will always be attempted.

Sealy may charge transport costs and service charge in the event a warranty claim has not been identified such being the case in which customer opts to replace or re-specify owing to customer comfort preference. In the event a warranty claim has been identified, Sealy Thailand will cover all reasonable transport costs to service and / or repair the product.

Sealy reserves the right at all times to apply transportation charges prior to them being incurred. All claims in respect of the warranty are to be made to the Sealy Customer Service on 02-312-6800 prior to the expiry of this warranty.

Sealy reserves the right to charge an up-front call out fee prior to an inspection taking place at any stage during the life of the mattress. This fee will be refunded should a manufacturing fault be discovered.

Mattress
  • Coils or wires that are loose or broken
  • Coils or wires that protrude or tear
Foundation (exclude solid box)
  • Splitting occurring in the wood frame
  • Protruding gauge wire through upholstery
  • Leg and castor failure
  • Mattress fabric (including stains, burns, pilling, or loose covers)
  • Normal body indentations (less than 32 mm.)
  • Mattress handles (subject to normal wear and tear during lifting) - these should be used only to position the mattress and should not be used to support the full weight of the mattress.
  • Border wires, which run along the perimeter of the mattress (innerspring) and foundation bent due to moving or folding the sleep set or other product defect due to misuse and mishandling.
  • Issues relating to comfort choice, i.e. the mattress is too firm or too soft. Comfort is a personal choice and while adjustments are possible, it is subjected to an extra charge. These are not qualified as a manufacturing fault.
  • Leather and fabric are used for upholstery
  • Bed Height
  • Issues relating to heat
  • Bedsheet Fit
  • Bedding sold "As Is"
  • New bed smell / odour
  • Damage due to either misuse or inappropriate usage.
  • Mattress found with mould, dampness and in unsanitary condition.
  • Mattress damage due to an inappropriate foundation. A Sealy mattress is designed for full performance when used in conjunction with a matching Sealy foundation. If the mattress is damaged through its use in conjunction with an inappropriate or lack of foundation the warranty may be invalidated.
  • Minor manufacturing anomalies that do not impact the performance of the bed (i.e. mis-stitching on quilting).
  • This warranty covers product "in use". Damage may occur due to incorrect storage. Sealy mattress must be stored flat with no weight pressure on the surface. Mattress should not be stored upright on its side for an elongated period. Comfort layers may detach from the spring unit causing invalidation.
  • Visco-elastic foams are temperature sensitive and color variation may occur depending on outside temperatures. This is not a manufacturing fault.
  • Don't ever place this product near open flames or expose it to fire.
  • This mattress is not flame or fire proof and can ignite or burn if exposed to open flame or fire. When ignited, some bedding materials can burn rapidly and emit smoke and hazardous gases.
  • Don't smoke in bed.
  • When purchasing a new mattress you should consider replacing your old foundation as well. It may appear that your new mattress is sagging when the problem really lies with the old foundation providing inadequate support.
  • For the better performance of your mattress, we strongly recommend the use of an appropriate Sealy foundation which has been especially designed to work with your mattress to deliver the correct support.
  • When used on a hard unyielding platform or slats your mattress will not last as long as it would on its matching sprung foundation.
  • In case of using slats, it is advisable to place a protective layer between the slats and the underside of the mattress to avoid scuffing caused by the slats. All slats should be smooth with any sharp edges removed. Damage caused by slats is not covered in this warranty.

Things to do and not to do when setting up your new Sealy; including, how to safely carry your new mattress and keep your mattress clean to ensure your mattress has a long life.

  • Don’t fold your mattress. * Such folding may damage the innerspring unit. To flex rather than fold the mattress when going through doorways. Recommend to contact our Company trained staff to render this service. Charges may apply.
    *Restriction does not apply to mattress size 6’ and above which are designed to bend at specific hinging points. For more information, please contact our Customer Service at 02-312-6800.
  • Don’t recommend to move your Sealy Posturepedic mattress or other Sealy products by yourself to other location. Damage may occur which will affect the product warranty coverage. Please contact our Customer Service at 02-312-6800 for the moving service. Service fees may apply subject to the distance of relocation.
  • Don’t allow anyone to stand or jump on your mattress. It was not built for that kind of weight concentration or usage - abuse is not covered by Sealy’s guarantee.
  • Keep your mattress dry and clean. A mattress protector is advisable. You should protect it from water and other fluids. A waterproof sheet or fitted waterproof cover under the mattress protector may be useful for children’s beds.
  • Dry cleaning chemicals can damage some of the construction materials.
  • Make sure children never use plastic packaging bags as playthings - they have no air vents and could result in suffocation.
  • Handles (where fitted) are only for positioning the mattress and not for lifting or carrying.
  • Do not remove the production ticket located at the end of your mattress. This contains care and content details vital to your warranty.
  • Dispose packaging plastic immediately (these bags are polyethylene and are recyclable).

The materials used in this mattress are designed to conform to your body's individual shape. BODY INDENTATIONS are a normal occurrence. They indicate that the upholstery layers are performing as they should. Regular turning or flipping gives uniform wear to each side of the mattress, adjusts the sleeping surface evenly and prolongs mattress life. Do turn your mattress end-to and upside down once every three months. It is the purchaser's responsibility to turn the mattress in the manner specified below:

  • Sealy Thailand offers a warranty, which is for the benefit of the original purchaser of the product, and is non-transferable. An original purchaser is an individual or entity that purchases the product directly from Sealy Thailand or an authorized retailer of Sealy Thailand with the intent to use the product for personal consumer use. The warranty is not applicable for those who have purchased the product for commercial or industrial use or with the intent to resell the product.
  • Your limited warranty protects you from the day you purchase your Sealy Posturematic and continues to warranty your protection from the original date of purchase. The warranty period will be mentioned in warranty card. Sealy warrants that it will, at Sealy's option replace or repair Purchaser's Sealy product sold in Thailand by an authorized retailer if that product is defective due to faulty workmanship or materials, subject to the limitations described in this Limited Warranty. Sealy undertakes no responsibility for the quality of the goods except as otherwise provided in this contract. If your product is replaced as a result of a warranty claim, your newly replaced product will be accompanied by new warranty. The warranty is valid in territory of Thailand only.
  • The total warranty on mattress and bed base is limited to 12 years and electrical components are limited to 3 years. During the applied warranty period do not tamper or attempt repair, alter or amend the electrical components yourself or through any unauthorized retailer.
  • Sealy Thailand will repair (or replace at Sealy's option) without charge to the original purchaser, any manufacturing fault. Sealy reserves the right to refuse service when the product is found on inspection to be in an insanitary condition or when product failure is due to causes other than defective workmanship or materials.
  • Should repair or replacement not be possible or be disproportionate, Sealy Thailand is entitled to recommend an alternative remedy such as replacement by a similar product of equal and comparable specification subject to materials availability at that time.
  • After the completion of the warranty period, Sealy Thailand recommends that customer use the service of Sealy to service, replace or repair the electrical components. This will assume longevity of product and correct functionality. The cost of the rendered service or repair if not covered by the warranty will be estimated at the time of providing such service.

Warranty will not be valid for the following:

  • Mattress and bed base for which no valid warranty card can be shown.
  • Standard deterioration over period of time including mattress surface normal indentation.
  • Parts such as damaged remote control or batteries that are subject to standard depletion.
  • Mold growth (the development of mold on mattress is due to the conditions of use, especially when used in insufficiently ventilated or damp rooms).
  • Damage due to mishandling, overloading, amateurish repairs and / or changes due to acts done by the buyer or third parties (e.g., a mattress being folded / bent while shifting).
  • Unsanitary conditions with apparent visible stains, soiling and burns.

  • Sealy Thailand offers a warranty, which is for the benefit of the original purchaser of the product, and is non-transferable. An original purchaser is an individual or entity that purchases the product directly from Sealy Thailand or an authorized retailer of Sealy Thailand with the intent to use the product for personal consumer use.
